Dear Pro-Life Friends,

We have all been sickened by the release of undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood officials casually discussing the sale of body parts from aborted babies. Finally, the American public is being shown the barbaric reality of abortion: the direct and purposeful destruction of living human beings. In America this barbarism is legal and judicially defined as a “right.” We have moved so far away from the promise of America’s founding document that makes the right to life the first unalienable right. Instead, we have turned human beings into mere commodities to be harvested for parts.

It is tempting to call for laws to outlaw the sale of baby body parts. However, rather than working to control this abhorrent commerce, we should instead be working to stop the abortions. There are two pieces of legislation that actually prevent the slaughter of these babies. The first is the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which outlaws abortion after the babies can feel pain. We congratulate the legislators, who have passed this legislation here in West Virginia. You have helped to make the passage of this legislation a reality through your donations.

Then there is a second piece of legislation that would prevent abortionists from dismembering babies for sale, which is the Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act. This Act would preserve the lives of those babies scheduled to be dismembered for access to their body parts.

Yearly, Planned Parenthood receives half a billion dollars from America’s taxpayers. It is time to stop funding this abortion giant with our tax dollars. Planned Parenthood is big business. When Planned Parenthood tells their clients that what is being removed from their wombs is “just tissue,” they are looking at the financial bottom line. After the abortion, that “tissue” is worth plenty as parts of a baby’s body.

The U.S. Senate has voted to defund Planned Parenthood, but failed to get the 60% required to pass the bill. Both Senators Manchin and Capito voted in favor of this bill. Please call to thank them for their vote. Thank you for helping us to be a voice for these helpless children.

Sincerely, for life,

Wanda Franz, President
